Pointer Brand - Workwear from Tennessee

When workwear brands gets high fashion status (read Wrangler, Lewis, Carhartt, Lee, etc.) and belongs to the staple gods in your closet, and with prices that commensurate with their status. It is refreshing to find classical workwear brands that are still possible to acquire fora  reasonable amount of money.

Such a classic American brand is Pointer Brand / LC King Manufacturing Co., who began their operations in Bristol Tennessee in 1913, and still remain in the same location with the production. All their garments are made in the USA, and they are among the most affordable one can find in denim and canvas workwear. For the same price that you pay for one pair of Levis jeans or a Carhartt jacket (nothing wrong with them, great garment that I use myself), you get two Pointer Brand Jackets plus one pair of their jeans.

Pointer Brands is probably the last American company that manufactures these garments in the traditional way, in terms of working clothes. They still use indigo dyed denim, hickory stripe, duck canvas and white drill in their chore jackets, overalls, aprons and trousers, so do yourself a favour, and check them out.
